Who is responsible

In short

This is a static portfolio. There are no user accounts, comments or newsletter, no analytics or advertising tools, and no form that sends data to a server. The website itself does not set cookies.

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Hostinger. To deliver the pages and keep the service secure, the hosting servers process technical data that every browser sends with a request: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This is necessary to show you the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: legitimate interest in delivering a secure, working website). I do not use this data to identify visitors or combine it with other data. How long these logs are kept is determined by the hosting provider.

Contact by email

You can write to me at felpshernandez at gmail.com. The “Leave me a note” notebook on the home page does not send anything: it prepares a message in your own email app, and you decide whether to send it.

When you write to me, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and your message. I use them only to reply and, if your message is about a job, for that application process (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps before a possible contract; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). My email account is a Google account (Gmail), so Google processes these messages as my email provider. I keep messages only as long as I need them for the conversation or the application process, unless the law requires me to keep them longer.

Preferences stored in your browser

If you change the language, the light or dark theme, or an accessibility option, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (keys “felps-lang”, “felps-theme” and “felps-a11y”), so the site remembers it on your next visit. The game “Trapped Among the Hordes” saves whether its sound is on in the same way. These entries stay on your device, are never sent to me, and you can delete them at any time in your browser settings. They are strictly necessary for a function you request yourself (§ 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021, TKG 2021).

YouTube videos

Project pages can include an embedded YouTube video (at the moment, none does; some projects only link to YouTube). When one does, nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play, and a note next to the button says so. When you press play, the video is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, a service of Google: your browser connects to Google's servers and sends your IP address and technical data, and YouTube may store information on your device. Google may process data outside the EU. Legal basis: your consent by pressing play (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) TKG 2021). You can avoid this by not playing the video. Links to other websites

Links to other websites, such as Figma prototypes, LinkedIn or asegurarte.cl, only connect you to them when you click. From then on, their own privacy policies apply.

Fonts, images, 3D models and audio

All fonts, images, 3D models and audio files are delivered by this website itself. No external font or content service is contacted when a page loads.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and you can withdraw a consent at any time with effect for the future. Just write to felpshernandez at gmail.com. If you believe that the processing of your data breaches data protection law, you can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at (opens in a new tab)). There is no automated decision-making or profiling on this website.
